Grant graduated with a B.A. in Classical Languages and Women, Gender, & Sexuality Studies from the University of Kansas in 2021. He is primarily interested in how texts create meaning with bodies and impairment. His classics thesis suggested that Herodotus’s Histories 1 and Sophocles’s Philoctetes employ physical impairment as narrative/thematic devices. His gender studies thesis considered how the novel Stone Butch Blues constructs queer identity and disability together through systems of violence, care, and material objects. Grant also has research interests in ancient intellectual history, feminist theory, and classical reception. In his free time, Grant is interested in the history and philosophy of horror films.
