Julianna Lewis received her B.A. in Classics, cum laude, at Bowdoin College in 2018. Her undergraduate thesis explored the use of “informal” oaths in Plato’s dialogues. She taught Latin and coached varsity swimming for two years at Wayland Academy, a college-preparatory school in Wisconsin before returning to her studies here at UCLA. Academically, Julianna is interested in the quantifiable effect of Greek literature on Augustan verse, as well as the unique intertextuality that characterizes Classical literature. She is also fascinated by ancient numismatics, and, more broadly, by archaeology as a whole.
