The Society for Classical Studies has issued a statement condemning police brutality and racism, as well as the misappropriation of Classics by white supremacist and nationalist groups.
The Faculty and Graduate Students of the Department of Classics affirm their support of this statement. We join our colleagues across the nation and throughout the profession in declaring that “Black Lives Matter.”
