Caleb Speakman

Caleb received his B.A. from Concordia University, Irvine, in History and Political Thought (summa cum laude) in 2018 and his M.A. in Classics, Classical Philology emphasis, from the University of Arizona in 2021. His M.A. thesis, “Empedocles θεός: The Poetics of Divinity in Empedocles and His Reception,” explored the intersection of Empedocles’ poetic and philosophical projects via commentary on select fragments and discussion of Empedocles’ reception in Latin epic. Caleb’s primary research interests lie in ancient Greek philosophy and its intersections with literature.
